Let’s go to war

On Sunday, October 22, 2017, Pastor Joshua Hamlin called us to a week of fasting and praying for each other. This is in response to many attacks of the enemy of members of our church body. We will not tolerate it! Let’s stand together for one another and turn to the One who has the power to defeat the devil’s schemes. [Ephesians 6:10-18]

On Sunday, October 29, 2017, Pastor Joshua asked us to extend this fast: particularly the men of the church to stand and fight on behalf of their families and community. You can listen to the call he gave here.

Will you join us?

Monday, Oct 30 – Friday, Nov 3 at 5:30-6:30pm we will gather together in the Sanctuary for prayer and worship together.

Highlights from Pastor Josh

Day 1 | Today we stand our ground with TRUTH. [Ephesians 6:14] We will not be overrun as we discover and stand in God’s truth. I encourage everyone to discover truth in God’s word today. Pray into what you discover and share it with someone.

Day 2 | Today we look to Christ, the only One who can give us right standing before our holy God. We repent and turn from sin, lies we are believing about ourselves or who God is, distractions, pride…and we hunger for RIGHTEOUSNESS [Ephesians 6:14 & Matthew 5:6] Find other scriptures that reference righteousness and spend some time studying them, then share with a friend.

Day 3 |  Blessed are the PEACE makers…Jesus calls us to live at peace with one another, this does not mean ignoring hard subjects or confrontation, but fighting for peace. Living in such a way that others can experience the inexplicable peace of our Savior. He calls us to share His gospel in every way. Sometimes this looks and feels like it will ‘disrupt the peace’ in our relationships, but the truth of His gospel is the only true answer and we must declare it.
Some scriptures to meditate on today:
> Matthew 5:9
> Romans 12:9-21
> Ephesians 6:15

Day 4 |  Jesus, let us be a people marked with incredible FAITH. That we would take You at Your word and press into Your promises. Today, we pray into this and look for a way to put our faith to action. [James 2:14-26]

Day 5 |  Let us look to Christ, our SALVATION. Take some time today and really think about what it means to have a Savior in Christ. He has provided a way for us to experience the fullness of His presence. Let’s do what we can to share salvation with someone else today. [Acts 4:12]

Day 6 | Today we take up our swords and fight. Look to the word of God and allow the SPIRIT of God to speak His promises over you and your family and stand your ground against the enemy. [Ephesians 6:17-18]
